JRI Fixed

JRI Fixed was born in the New Year period of 2010. JRI Fixed started with a clear mindset to service the single speed and fixed gear market. It is apparent that riders of these simple machines don’t just want an off the shelf bike, designed in an office to fit the masses, they want something unique, special and personal.
JRI Fixed quickly gained a strong following in their home city of Melbourne and further afield to other parts of Australia. Whether you are a new rider or someone with years of experience JRI Fixed can cater to your needs.

Dark Matter

The Team at JRI combined many years of experience riding, designing and building track bikes, fixies and single speeds for real world conditions to come up with the Dark Matter, the ultimate single speed street bike.  It is the culmination of the lessons learned from every bike we’ve ever put on the street, primarily for the street. Track-capable fixie but optimized for the roads of everyone’s everyday, the tight but not excessive geometry strikes the perfect balance of handling and comfort so whether you’re running to the shop, mashing empty midnight streets or pulling a few g’s at the drome the only thing the Dark Matter will leave you wanting more of is time in the saddle.

Europa

The Team at JRI combined many years of experience riding, designing and building track bikes, fixies and single speeds for real world conditions to come up with the Europa, the ultimate single speed street bike.  It is the culmination of the lessons learned from every bike we’ve ever put on the street, primarily for the street. Track-capable fixie but optimized for the roads of everyone’s everyday, the tight but not excessive geometry strikes the perfect balance of handling and comfort so whether you’re running to the shop, mashing empty midnight streets or pulling a few g’s at the drome the only thing the Europa will leave you wanting more of is time in the saddle.

Cujo

JRI Fixed knew they were on to something when they introduced the sharp-handling value-loaded Cujo street bike at the start of 2018.  By updating the familiar steel singlespeed/”fixie” frame with modern track geometry and quality components, Team JRI redefined what consumers can expect (and deserve) in a value-priced single speed.

As per its moniker, this sexy beast sports an even more aggressive look featuring a track-trendy “Low Pro” geometry, deep dish rims, drilled out chainring and an alloy fork. The modern design used for the original Cujo worked so well in creating desirable handling characteristics that our head designer was encouraged to push the envelope even further of what could be achieved in a hi-tensile steel frame with the new Low Pro geometry. Initial frame testing was so promising that JRI bumped up the component specs to match the look and potential performance of the frame.

The team at JRI we’re all about customer service – The new Cujo  Pro, once again transforming expectations of what can be achieved without selling a kidney.

Team Bike 2019

Only 25 of these bikes available for Australia.  Match this ride’s big personality with your true colours – whether you’re blasting at the track, bombing city streets or stealthing bike lanes your riding won’t be the only thing being talked about on this sure thing conversation-starter. Weighing in at 7kg, the Team Bike is super lightweight and features a stiff and efficient track-inspired frame.  Its sleek and modern design embodies a mild “low pro” geometry equally at home on the street and at the track. The Team Bike includes a carbon fork and steering tube, custom cut seatpost, and high grade components including a Shimano Nexus track chain, bladed spokes and high flange hubs.  JRI’s 6061 aluminium alloy frame is very light, stiff and highly-corrosion resistant resulting in a very nimble ride that will provide many years of attention-grabbing enjoyment.

T6 Low Pro

The JRI design team was looking for a more street-friendly single speed ride without sacrificing the efficient drivetrain power transfer that only a stiff frame can provide. Adjusting the frame material from 6061 to 6066-series alloy resulted in a step-change improvement in what the design team was looking for.  The key difference with 6066 is the metallurgical substitution and addition of copper (Cu) and silicon (Si) to the base alloy. The copper has the effect of absorbing high frequency vibration increasing overall durability, while the silicon adds strength/stiffness under load.  Ultimately, this gives the rider a better power transfer while absorbing high-frequency (harsh) road feedback from the frame/fork. Riders will also notice that we have adjusted the riding geometry to give the rider a more relaxed riding position whilst retaining the aggressive looks and the possibility of configuring the build to a LowPro Track configuration.  The new T6 also incorporates an integrated headset and retains the popular aero seatpost of previous T-series variants. This new frame has now been 100% smoothed out – with no welds or joins to be seen.

Purple Rain

The Purple Rain sports an eye-catching metallic matte finish that is all-business regardless of your riding style, fixed gear or single speed freewheel and whether you shred or navigate the city on your daily business. Weighing in at 7kg, the Purple Rain is super lightweight and features a stiff and efficient track-inspired frame. Its sleek and modern design embodies a mild “low pro” geometry equally at home on the street and at the track. The Purple Rain includes a carbon fork and steering tube, custom cut seat post, and high grade components including a Shimano Nexus track chain, bladed spokes and high flange hubs.  JRI’s 6061 aluminium alloy frame is very light, stiff and highly-corrosion resistant resulting in a very nimble fixie that will provide years of enjoyment.
